The Design Embassy delivered a digital strategy leading to the complete redesign of Screen Australia’s website in partnership with Twisted Pear. A new information architecture was devised to make it easier to navigate the site, the content was rewritten and a database of Australian productions was reimagined as The Screen Guide. The result is an image-rich website that showcases the strength and diversity of the Australian screen industry.

The Screen Guide

The Screen Guide is a key feature of Screen Australia’s website.  Building on a large database of productions, companies and screen industry professionals, we dynamically added images and viewing options, and devised ‘showcases’ to explore themed collections. This brought the data to life, allowing users to explore different titles and to quickly find out where they could be viewed online.

Morgan Richards and the Design Embassy delivered a transformational digital strategy for Screen Australia. The digital project revolutionised what had been dense and inaccessible historical information architecture into a user-friendly, image-rich and functional digital presence across a range of platforms, including an award-winning website. Working in close partnership with a complex range of stakeholders to a challenging brief, Morgan developed and managed a process that combined clear principles, thoughtful UX research and a strong stakeholder focus, navigating competing pressures and legal challenges with extraordinary equanimity to achieve great outcomes.
